Jean Goulley Petit Chablis is a delicious white wine from Domaine Jean Goulley in the Chablis region of Burgundy, France. "Petit Chablis" is a classification within Chablis and refers to wines that come from vineyards that are outside the official Chablis appellation.

These vineyards tend to have slightly cooler climatic conditions and a different soil composition than the Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards, but they still share the distinctive Chablis terroir, characterized by limestone-rich soils.

Jean Goulley Petit Chablis is a beautiful light golden yellow in colour. The aromas are of white flowers, mixed with citrus notes, over a mineral base (flint). Sometimes notes of peach and other white fruits are found. The mouth is light and lively with a nice acidity. A snappy attack quickly flows into a sympathetic round mouthfeel. Freshness, body and persistence come together in a harmonious whole. The wine is drunk young, ideally after two years: it belongs to spring.

The vineyards of the Petit-Chablis appellation lie on both sides of the river Serein. This AOC was established in 1944. It is one of the jewels in the crown of the Chablis district, which, in the northernmost department of Burgundy, is the "golden gate" for the region as a whole. A Chardonnay wine through and through, "Petit" Chablis has nothing small in fact.
