Il Pino di Biserno is one of the top wines from the Tenuta di Biserno winery and is made from grapes grown in the Maremma region of Tuscany, Italy.
The wine has a ruby red color with violet highlights. The nose is complex and aromatic, with notes of red fruits such as blackberries and cherries. There are also notes of herbs, such as black pepper and thyme. The taste is full and powerful, with a high tannin content and a long, persistent aftertaste.
After harvest, the grapes are destemmed. The fermentation takes place for 3 to 4 weeks in stainless steel barrels at 28 degrees. Malolactic fermentation then takes place, 25% in wood and the rest in stainless steel. Then 85% of the wine matures for 12 months in new and used French oak barrels.
