Hospices de Beaune Meursault Cuvée Loppin

Hospices de Beaune Meursault Cuvée Loppin is a special white wine from the Burgundy region of France. This wine comes from the Hospices de Beaune estate, a historic institution known as much for its philanthropic activities as for the production of excellent Burgundian wines.

The Cuvée Loppin is named after one of the former custodians of the Hospices de Beaune domain and is produced and auctioned annually. The grapes for this wine come from the prestigious Meursault appellation, which is famous for its Chardonnay grapes and excellent terroir.

In the glass, Hospices de Beaune Meursault Cuvée Loppin shows a bright golden color and reveals a bouquet of refined aromas, including white flowers, citrus fruits and subtle mineral notes. The taste is complex and balanced, with characteristic Chardonnay characteristics of ripe white fruit and beautiful acidity.

This white wine from Meursault is known for its elegance and finesse. The Cuvée Loppin embodies the Burgundian winemaking tradition and the ongoing philanthropic mission of the Hospices de Beaune estate and is prized by wine lovers around the world.

Wine - Food pairing

Hospices de Beaune Meursault Cuvée Loppin goes well with dishes such as grilled seafood, smoked salmon, poultry in creamy sauces, or even with goat's cheese.

Hospices de Beaune

The history of the Hospices Civils de Beaune began in 1443 with the desire of Nicolas Rolin and Guigone de Salins to build a hospital: the Hôtel-Dieu. The founders performed acts of charity and patronage, establishing a tradition that allowed the Hospices de Beaune to continue through history under exceptional circumstances.

Today, the Hospices Civils de Beaune unite the hospital center of Beaune, the hospitals of Arnay-le-Duc, Seurre and Nuits-St-Georges, as well as a training institute for the nursing and healthcare professions (subsidized by Burgundy).

The originality of this hospital institution lies in the importance and nature of its heritage which consists, on the one hand, of a historic monument, the Hôtel-Dieu de Beaune, which has no longer welcomed patients or elderly residents since the early 1980s, and on the other hand, two prestigious wine estates: Hospices de Beaune and Hospices de Nuits.
