Heinrich Blaufränkisch Leithaberg is a specific red wine produced by Weingut Heinrich, a renowned Austrian winery located in the Burgenland wine region.

Leithaberg DAC is a new name for an area of origin from Austria, Burgenland. The Leithaberg, located on the Neusiedlersee, with its 484 meters height, is not really a mountain, especially for Austrians, but it has been called that for hundreds of years. What has not been known for so long is that this hill mountain has unique soil properties and for some grapes a very favorable microclimate, including a cooling breeze from the lake. Summers can be very hot in this part of Austria. The soil is richly varied and consists of a combination of slate, in various degrees of hardness and decay, fossil limestone and sandstone. Ideal properties for vines that can absorb these minerals. The vineyards are located on the slopes of the Leithaberg.

Heinrich Blaufränkisch Leithaberg is deep purple ruby red in color. In the nose aromas of ripe plums, blueberries, tobacco, spices and a hint of wood aging. In the taste palette black cherries, blue plums, cocoa and some vanilla. The finish is long with elegant acidity and remarkably soft and ripe tannins.
