Grand Village Bordeaux Supérieur Rouge is dark ruby red in color. In the nose aromas of black currants and plums, a hint of roasted red pepper, juniper and bay leaf. In the taste palette ripe small red black fruit and dried herbs that are accompanied in the aftertaste by clearly present but ripe tannins.
After the manual grape picking with strict selection, the vinification takes place in a traditional way. First, the grapes undergo a short soaking time, followed by the traditional alcoholic fermentation of 3 weeks in oak casks. The grapes are then pressed and the young wine is transferred to mostly new oak barriques for malolactic fermentation and aging for a period of 10 months, after which the wine is bottled unfiltered.
