Giol Prosecco Rosé

Giol Prosecco Rosé  is a fresh, summery rosé with a seductive ruby red color. In the nose the wine is fruity with strong notes of apple, white peach, citrus fruits and wild strawberries. Its vibrant color and fruity nose give it an original and very distinctive character. This rosé is enviably versatile with food, allowing for interesting combinations.

And indeed, if a white wine is not enough for a dish and a red is simply too much, the answer is usually a rosé!

Wine - Food pairing

Delicious as an aperitif, with various fish and meat starters and with desserts with summer fruit.

Azienda Agricola Giol

Located in the heart of San Polo di Piave, 35 km from Venice (Veneto), Azienda Agricola Giol  is the oldest Prosecco house from Italy (1427). The trademark of this winery is the today uninhabited castle Giol. Here the wines are aged in the cellars, under the watchful eye of the young Venetian winemaker Vittorio Carraro, behind meters thick walls and therefore at a constant temperature.

The recent history of the castle and wine cellars goes back to the events surrounding 2 families: first the Papadopoli family and later the Giol family. The Count Papadopoli, a Venetian banker, used the castle as his summer residence and left Venice during those months to supervise the harvest on his infinite estate. In 1923, the family sold the huge estate with more than 60 farms belonging to the estate and the castle to Commander Giovanni Giol. He had just returned from South America after a very successful emigration period. He moved into the castle and continued with the count's work. While preserving the structure and the old wine cellars, he built a second barrel room, still known for its size and charm. After the contributions of the next three generations, the entire complex is in excellent condition and a winery remains where great wines are produced. All made from organic grapes, vegan, sometimes without added sulfites and with relatively low alcohol percentages.
