Gerard Seguin Gevrey-Chambertin Les Crais

Gerard Seguin Gevrey-Chambertin Les Crais has a beautiful ruby red color, a fairly intense nose of red fruit. In the mouth, this sensation is complemented by subtlety, a light vanilla flavor caused by the aging in oak barrels.

On the gravelly soils of Crais, a soft and early maturing wine is harvested that, from the first year of the bottle, reveals almost all the aromatic delicacy that the noble older wines of great vintages only achieve with age. At a lower cost than a Chambertin, this light wine will give you something to brighten the soul, scented with gaiety, making the meal of friendship bloom with a smile. The vines of this place are about 40 years old. The vinification is traditional, hand-harvesting, total de-aging, cold maceration and subsequent fermentation using indigenous yeasts, aging in oak barrels for 18 months.

Gevrey-Chambertin Les Crais is considered one of the top vineyards in the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation, and the wines produced from this vineyard are highly sought-after by collectors and Burgundy enthusiasts.
