Gerard Seguin Fixin La Place

Gerard Seguin Fixin La Place has a beautiful dark red color, this wine has aromas of flowers, violets and peonies and fruity, blackcurrant and sour cherries. It has a round and lively attack on the palate with a nice structure, the texture remains very delicate.

Fixin is less well known than its famous neighbors on the Côte de Nuits, but often competes with them. The land of Fixin is a cocktail of hard limestone for the bouquet, clay-limestone marl for strength and brown earth for subtlety. The approximately 30 year old vines are located in the hamlet of Fixey against Fixin, one of the plots in the locality of Foussottes is right next to the beautiful 10th century Saint-Antoine church. The other plot at La Place is on the edge of the Grands Crus route.
