This fruity, ruby red Sangiovese comes from Castelnuovo Berardenga, just on the border of the Chianti Classico area. The soil consists of quartz, loam and sandstone.
The famous winery Felsina also lives up to its reputation with this entry-level wine. A soft mouthfeel, intense red and black fruit, fine spicy notes and a light vanilla touch provide an interesting drink.
The wine is aged for 12 to 18 months in medium-sized oak barrels.
A gourmet wine that goes well with grilled and roasted meats and mature cheeses.
Felsina Chianti Colli Senesi is a delicious Italian red wine from the Tuscany region. This wine is made by winery Felsina from Sangiovese grapes.
Recommended serving temperature between 16°C and 18°C.
It was 1966 when Domenico Poggiali Fèlsina took a bold leap and bought the Felsina estate at a time when Italian viticulture was struggling. He chose to invest in the quality of the wine and the expertise of a young team. Their passion for wine combined with a commercial spirit resulted in a modern business plan, without however giving up the spirit of tradition. In a few years, the vineyards grew to more than forty hectares, and the soul and organization of the company also changed.
In the second half of the 1970s, Giuseppe Mazzocolin joined the family business. His studies in humanities, his wealth of contacts, his heightened work ethic and his respect for the Tuscan and Italian culture are the basis for the growth of the Fèlsina winery and pave the way for the beginning of their international recognition. Their friendship with Luigi Veronelli and collaboration with oenologist Franco Bernabei formed a development strategy that has proven to be extremely coherent.
