Fanny Sabre Mercurey Village Blanc is a typical Chardonnay golden yellow in color. Aromas of white flowers (mayflower, acacia), hazelnut, almond and spices (cinnamon, pepper). A touch of flint is a trademark of this wine. Full of flavour, it is an eminently drinkable wine.
The village of Mercurey in the Côte Chalonnaise takes its name from the God Mercurius (God of commerce). Mercurey is intersected by the Agrippa road which, in Roman times, connected Chalon-sur-Saône to Autun. The wines of Mercurey have made the reputation of this village known all over the world. Mercurey is one of the largest wine-producing communes in Burgundy with more than 600 hectares of vines.

It is one of the few in Burgundy that works according to the Vin Naturel principle, although it now uses small amounts of sulphite when bottling. Everything else is of course made by hand here, including the manual corking of bottles. In her own words, she wants her wines to live. They certainly enliven those who enjoy her wines.
