Evodia
Evodia is a mineral wine, silky and elegant. Aromas of raspberries, sweet and sour cherry notes mixed with a distinctive minerality. Evodia means perfume. This is the perfect representation of the Grenache from Aragon with its own grapes and flavors. The landscape where Evodia is grown is very special because of the height and slopes, resulting in a very pure and fresh wine.
The grapes come from very old vines with an average yield of 4000 kilos per hectare, coming from calcareous, clay and shale soils. The grapes are destemmed and not crushed. The fermentation takes place in concrete tanks for 20 days with gentle extractions. The maceration takes 7 days using the batonnage technique. In this way a more extraction is obtained and a lower grape oxidation of the grapes takes place. A small part of the blend matures in barrels. (10% in drums and 90% in concrete tanks).

Evodia is a delicious Spanish red wine from Catalonia Spain. This wine is made from Garnacha grapes.
Recommended serving temperature between 16°C and 18°C.

Bodegas San Alejandro is a large family formed by 150 winegrowers. A project that started with the enthusiasm and effort of a group of restless winegrowers who decided to appreciate their land, their vines and their wine. Today, this dream has become the benchmark of the D.O. Calatayud and the Garnacha Universe.
The vineyard is located in a region of extreme contrasts, of uncertain landscapes that you have to listen to and understand. A country that people hold in their hearts and that they take care of, just like their parents, grandparents and the generations before that. A land where the leaves blow in the wind, where the centenary vines twist. A land that is barren and rocky and thirsty for effort. A great diversity of soils: the white limestone on the plains, the reddish clay on the hills and the slate on the slopes.
