The Bundschuh Riesling has a seductive pale yellow color and a refined scent of ripe peaches, juicy apricots and refreshing citrus aromas. With every sip, the wine reveals its characteristic acidity and lively minerality, typical of Rieslings from the Palatinate.
The mouthfeel is fresh and lively, with a nice balance between fruity sweetness and invigorating acidity. The finish is long and elegant, leaving you longing for another sip.
The “Bundschuh” label refers to the revolt in the home village (Nußdorf) of the Bauer family in 1525, in which the peasants collectively revolted against their lords. "Bundschuh" means "tied shoe", a leather shoe typical of the medieval peasants.
