Due del Monte Collio SUBIDA 23 has a deep straw yellow color with golden reflections. Intense and fragrant nose, with hints of ripe fruit and fresh flowers in the foreground. Balsamic notes and nuances of oriental spices. In the mouth fresh and very elegant, with a beautiful limestone minerality and a good structure. A very long mineral finish.
The whole grapes are gently crushed and gently pressed with yields around 50%. Fermentation and aging in used French oak barrels for about 9 months. Natural brightening after blending. Malolactic fermentation not done. Bottle aging 4-5 months.
Delicious as an aperitif or with fish or sausage snacks and cheese.
Due del Monte Collio SUBIDA 23 is a delicious Italian white wine from Friuli. This wine is made by winery Due del Monte from Friulano grapes.
Recommended serving temperature between 10°C and 12°C
Due del Monto is located at the foot of Mount Quarin and a stone's throw from the center of Cormons, this vineyard has a very special soil variability. The soil varies from clayey, calcareous to predominantly calcareous, sandy, with frequent outcrops of marl layers, moderately draining and poor in organic matter in the central part.
Thanks to its south-west orientation, which requires prolonged insolation and not very intense ventilation, the ripening takes place a few days earlier than in other vineyards with intensely aromatic and well-structured grapes. In addition, the bunches are usually small, sparse and with small berries.
