Dorli Muhr Carnuntum refers to the wines produced by Dorli Muhr in the Carnuntum region of Austria. Carnuntum is a wine region in Lower Austria, located east of Vienna. It is known for its red wines, particularly the Blaufränkisch grape variety, which thrives in the region's continental climate and soil. The grapes for this wine come from different plots along the Spitzerberg, from vineyard plots with a slightly more clayey layer, which guarantee a particularly fresh fruitiness, but also from vines that are less than ten years old and therefore produce round fruit.

The grapes are harvested by hand, fermented spontaneously in open barrels - without pumping, without cooling or heating. Occasionally the juice from the bottom of the barrel is poured over the cap by hand to keep it moist. So the extraction is very gentle and slow. After pressing, the wine rests for about 20 months in large old wooden barrels before being bottled without filtration.
