Dönnhoff Riesling Trocken is pale yellow in color, exuberant nose with notes of exotic and citrus fruit. Dry and tingling fresh start, all corners of the mouth are stimulated with fresh tones such as lime, grapefruit and pineapple, very nice mineral and this gives a very clean mouthfeel, and so pure. Beautiful balance, wonderfully long finish.
The Riesling Trocken is one of Dönnhoff's most popular wines, with a unique taste and a nice balance between sweetness and acidity. This wine is made from 100% Riesling grapes, which are grown on steep slopes in the Nahe region. The grapes are carefully harvested and selected by hand, so that only the best grapes are used for this wine.
At the beginning of October, the organically grown grapes are picked by hand, with a very strict selection. In the vinification cellar, the grapes are crushed and given a 24-hour cold soak. Then follows pressing and the juice is allowed to undergo a spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with wild (grape's own) yeasts in a stainless steel tank, in a temperature-controlled manner, in which the wine also ripens on its fine 'lie' without being crossed. The wine is assembled after about 12 months and bottled unclarified and unfiltered.
This Riesling goes well with various dishes, such as seafood, white fish, poultry, salads and light Asian dishes. The wine is also an excellent companion for summer meals, picnics or just to enjoy on a hot day.

The history of Weingut Dönnhoff dates back to the 18th century, but the winery rose to international recognition and fame under the leadership of Helmut Dönnhoff in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Today the winery is led by Helmut's son, Cornelius Dönnhoff, who continues what his father built and takes the winery to new heights.

Dönnhoff's Rieslings are often praised for their elegant style, excellent balance of fruit, acidity and minerality, and their ability to age and develop complexity.
In addition to Riesling, Weingut Dönnhoff also produces other grape varieties, such as Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc), Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris), Silvaner and Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir), as well as some sweet wines, including noble sweet Trockenbeerenauslese and Eiswein.
