Donato Giangirolami Cardito Malvasia Puntinata has a bright straw yellow color with green reflections. This wine is made from the De Malvasia Puntinata, a very ancient grape variety that was already used by the Romans for sweetened wines. The grape is certainly not comparable to the dry Malvasias in Friuli, for example. The grape has small red dots (puntinata) that gave this grape its name.
The wine is fresh and has a rich variety of bitters and acids. Notes of ginger and a fermented taste. The strongly volcanic soil provides very expressive aromas.
