Domaine Vacheron Sancerre Rouge is a red wine from Domaine Vacheron in the Sancerre region of the Loire Valley, France. While Sancerre is best known for its white wines made from Sauvignon Blanc, some wineries also produce red wines from the Pinot Noir grape.

Pinot Noir is a grape variety known for its elegance, light body and subtle aromas. The climate and soil composition of Sancerre often give the red wines of this area a fresh and refined character, with a focus on red fruits, such as cherries and strawberries, and fine spicy notes.

Domaine Vacheron Sancerre Rouge has a beautiful bright ruby red color. In the nose it shows aromas of red berries, raspberries and a touch of orange peel with subtle hints of violets. In the mouth peppery spice mixes with ripe raspberry and pomegranate flavors. In terms of tannins, this cuvée retains its finesse and suppleness.

This wine comes from an unparalleled collection of hillside vineyards around the town of Sancerre, with a mix of limestone and flint (silex) soils. The vines are 30 to 50 years old. All grapes are harvested by hand. Fermented on native yeasts and aged in combination of foudres and older French barrique. The wine is bottled unfiltered and unfiltered.
