Saint - Marc Pommard Les Chanlins is garnet red in color. Fruity aromas of raspberry and plum with a hint of spice. The taste is pleasantly smooth with well-integrated tannins. This wine has a nice mineral aftertaste.
Pommard Les Chanlins refers to a specific vineyard in the Pommard appellation in Burgundy, France. Pommard is a well-known wine region in Burgundy, just south of Beaune in the Côte de Beaune sub-region. The Les Chanlins vineyard is situated on a gentle slope and covers approximately 1.5 hectares. Wines from this vineyard are typically made from the Pinot Noir grape variety, the primary grape used in red Burgundy wines. Pommard is known for producing powerful and robust wines, and Les Chanlins is no exception. These wines are typically full bodied with intense flavors of red and black fruits, such as cherries and blackberries, as well as earthy and spicy notes.
The soil of the Les Chanlins vineyard is rich in clay and limestone, which contributes to the minerality and structure of the wines produced there. The vineyard is also at a relatively high altitude, which allows for a longer growing season and the development of more complex flavors and aromas in the grapes.
Delicious as an aperitif or in combination with poultry, roast and grilled meat or soft creamy cheeses.
Domaine Saint - Marc Pommard Les Chanlins is a delicious red French Burgundy Pommard wine from Domaine Saint - Marc. This wine is made from Pinot Noir grapes.
Recommended serving temperature between 14°C and 16°C.
Domaine Saint - Marc covers 8.5 hectares and has an exceptional diversity of terroir with 10 different appellations: Hautes Côtes de Beaune in the south via Maranges, Santenay, Meursault and then Pommard and Beaune 25 km further north.
The domain Saint-Marc is a large domain on a small surface. In 2016, the St. Marc estate obtained the operating certification "Haute Valeur Environnemental." They no longer use insecticides and avoid weeding as much as possible. So when the plots allow, the soil is plowed.
Particular care is taken in the work of the vine, severe fluff formation, leaf thinning to the rising sun, higher trellis for better photosynthesis, all this allows the vine to express itself in the best possible way and to produce grapes healthy and of good quality to offer.
Here they work with maximum respect for the terroirs.
