Domaine Roger Champault Sancerre Le Clos du Roy is a white wine from the Loire Valley in France. It is made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes.

The grapes grow in vineyards with a limestone subsoil, which gives the wine finesse and minerality. The vines can only go into the ground up to a depth of 30 cm. This, in combination with the southern location of the slopes, ensures that the grapes ripen early and develop a high aroma concentration.

After harvest, the wine ferments under cool temperatures in stainless steel barrels, which preserves its fresh, fruity character. A "lie" maturation of several months makes the wine rounder and gives it complexity.

Domaine Roger Champault Sancerre Le Clos du Roy is expressive on the nose with aromas of white fruit and blossom (such as acacia). Smooth and round in taste with soft acids, mineral notes and a wonderfully long aftertaste.

This Sancerre wine is an excellent choice to enjoy as an aperitif, but can also go well with various dishes, such as seafood, fish dishes, poultry, salads and soft cheeses.
