Domaine Jean-Jacques Confuron Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Chaboeufs 1er Cru is an elegant Pinot Noir from a Premier Cru vineyard in the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation, Côte de Nuits, Burgundy. "Les Chaboeufs" is a lieu-dit with a clay and limestone rich soil, which gives the wines depth and complexity. This wine is intense and expressive, with aromas of ripe red and black berries, such as cherries and blackberries, combined with subtle herbal and floral notes.
The maturation in French oak barrels adds extra layers of vanilla, spice and a light hint of toasted wood. The structure is firm with ripe tannins and a lively acidity, which gives the wine excellent balance and a long, mineral finish.
