Domaine des Hâtes Chablis is a white wine that embodies the pure expression of the famous Chablis region in Burgundy. Made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, sourced from various vineyards in the appellation, this wine is an ode to the mineral freshness and finesse for which Chablis is known.
The vineyards of Domaine des Hâtes benefit from a unique terroir with Kimmeridge clay and limestone soils. These soils give the grapes their characteristic mineral character, which translates into a wine with an unmistakable finesse. The grapes are harvested by hand and then vinified with care in stainless steel tanks. The wine then matures in stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness and purity of the fruit.
The Domaine des Hâtes Chablis shows itself in the glass with a bright pale lemon yellow color. The nose is expressive with aromas of citrus fruit, white stone fruit, peach, flint and chalk. The taste of the wine is fresh and mineral with notes of lemon, grapefruit, Granny Smith apple, peach, almond and honey. This wine has a long lasting aftertaste that guarantees drinking pleasure.
Domaine des Hâtes l'Homme Mort Chablis Premier Cru Fourchaume is a versatile wine that pairs well with a variety of dishes, thanks to its fresh, mineral-driven character and fresh acidity. Such as seafood and shellfish, poultry, creamy pasta dishes, aged cheeses such as Cheddar, Gouda and Parmesan cheese and vegetarian dishes.
Domaine des Hâtes Chablis is a delicious white French Chablis wine from Domaine des Hâtes from Burgundy France. This wine is made from Chardonnay grapes.
Recommended serving temperature between 10°C and 12°C.
Domaine les Hâtes owns 25 hectares of vineyards in the north of Chablis. The limestone soil here contains more clay, which gives the wines more strength and roundness.
Domaine les Hâtes is owned by Pierrick Laroche, a rising star in the French winemaking firmament. More than 10 years ago he took over the vineyards from his father, who started the domain in 1970.
The cellars of Domaine les Hâtes are located on the slope of a hill in the village of Maligny. Gravity is used to move the grapes, must and wine. All wines undergo malolactic fermentation, which makes the wines rounder and softer. In the vineyards too, the focus is on working as naturally as possible. The vineyards are currently still in conversion to organic certification.
His precise, driven way of working quickly earned Pierrick national and international fame. For his first vintage he immediately received 3 stars in the Guide Hachette and Robert Parker also gave 90 points for his 1er Cru. A winemaker to keep an eye on!
