Domaine des Beaumont Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Les Ruchots is purple in color, possesses elegant aromas of strawberries, raspberries and coffee. In the taste, the wine is smooth, silky with a nice aftertaste with hints of licorice and pepper. More rustic but just as fruity as Les Millandes.
Thierry Beaumont operates a microscopic 8 hectare vineyard on one of Morey's finest 1er crus, Les Ruchots, lying just below Grand Cru Clos de Tart.
The Pinot Noir grapes come from a clay-limestone soil in the Côte de Nuits. The vines are over 70 years old. Aging for 12 months in oak barrels of which 60% in new oak barrels.

Domaine des Beaumont
Domaine des Beaumont is a wine estate located in the Beaujolais region of France. Beaujolais is known for its light, fruity and vibrant red wines, made primarily from the Gamay grape.
In total, the domain has about 5.5 hectares of vineyard spread over the villages of Morey-St-Denis, Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny. Together 28 different parcels that are eventually assembled into 10 different wines. The annual yield of the domain is 25 to 30,000 bottles.
Because the domain was technically behind the times in the past, a new winery was built and opened in 2009.
The Domaine des Beaumont is managed by Thierry and Vincent Beaumont, representing seven generations of know-how and passion. Practicing reasoned and sustainable viticulture, every grape and every bottle here is optimally cared for by the hand of the winemaker.
