Domaine de Baal Grand Vin
Domaine de Baal Grand Vin is a powerful and complex red wine from the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon. The wine is produced by Domaine de Baal, a winery founded in 1994 by Sébastien Khoury.
The wine is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), Merlot (30%) and Cabernet Franc (10%) grapes, which come from vineyards at an altitude of 1200 meters. The grapes are harvested by hand and then vinified in stainless steel tanks. The wine matures for 18 months in new and used French oak barrels.
Domaine de Baal Grand Vin has an intense ruby red color. The nose reveals aromas of red fruit (cherries, raspberries), blackberries, cassis, tobacco, vanilla and toast. The taste is powerful and elegant with ripe tannins, lively acidity and a long, persistent aftertaste. The wine is complex and has a nice balance between fruit, wood aging and spiciness.

This wine is perfect with red meat, game, poultry, mushrooms and mature cheeses. The wine also goes well with dishes with spicy sauces.

Domaine de Baal
At 1200 meters altitude, located on the slopes of the mountains of Mont-Lebanon, overlooking the beautiful Bekaa Valley, the estate has been thriving since the first plantations in 1994. In 2006, after spending many years in Saint-Emilion, Sebastien Khoury the owner and winemaker of Domaine de Baal came back to Lebanon and started building the winery and made the estate's first vintage.
The limestone and clay soil, the organic processes that we follow and that fully respect the life cycles of both the soil and the vineyard, together with the low intervention in the cellar, allow us to produce fine and elegant wines every year that beautiful Mediterranean terroir.
