Coteaux du Layon 1er Cru Chaume is a special sweet white wine from the Coteaux du Layon appellation in the Loire Valley. A premier cru classification within this region, Chaume is considered one of the most prestigious vineyards in Coteaux du Layon.
This wine is made from overripe Chenin Blanc grapes affected by noble rot, also known as "botrytis cinerea". Domaine Cady is a wine producer based in the Loire Valley in France. It is located in the village of Saint-Aubin-de-Luigné, in the Anjou-Saumur wine region. Domaine Cady has a long history dating back to 1810. It is a family business that has been run for generations. The estate covers about 34 hectares of vineyards, where they mainly work with the Chenin Blanc grape variety for white wines and the Cabernet Franc grape variety for red wines.
Domaine Cady is committed to sustainable viticultural practices and strives to produce wines that reflect the uniqueness of their terroir. They strive for high quality and try to maximize the expression of the grapes and terroir in their wines.
