Domaine Joel Delaunay

Domaine Joël Delaunay is located near the famous Château de Chenonceau, east of Tours in a small village Pouillé (41). Proud of their 37 hectares in the Touraine and Touraine Chenonceaux appellations, the green lines of the family vineyard grace the hills bordering the Cher.

It offers an exceptional view over the beautiful Cher Valley and is part of the Loire Valley Wine Route, a famous tourist route richly dotted with winegrowing villages, royal castles and unspoilt natural landscapes.

Winemaker Thierry Delaunay is known for his very own style of winemaking and produces elegant wines with soft acids and a highly developed aroma. He has access to the Sauvignon Blanc grape both outdoors and in Touraine, growing on a soil of silicon and lime. When cultivating the vines and making the wine, Thierry tries as much as possible to give the wine the expression of the soil, so that the freshness of the Sauvignon Blanc comes into its own. Thierry has also owned a biologically working domain La Brossette for several years.
