Clos Floridène Graves Blanc is a refined, dry white wine from the Graves appellation, made from a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, and a small amount of Muscadelle. The wine has a bright light yellow color with green reflections and opens with fresh aromas of citrus fruits such as grapefruit, alongside floral notes and hints of white peach and fresh herbs. In the mouth, the wine is full and creamy, but at the same time lively thanks to the refreshing acidity. The subtle wood aging adds an elegant dimension of vanilla and roasted almonds, giving the wine a nice balance between freshness and complexity.
Wine serving temperature: 10 - 12 °C.
Clos Floridène Graves Blanc is an excellent accompaniment to light fish dishes, such as grilled sea bass or salmon. The wine also goes well with shellfish, including oysters and lobster. Thanks to its complexity and rich mouthfeel, it is also delicious with poultry such as chicken in a creamy sauce or with fresh salads with goat's cheese. The wine can also be combined well with soft cheeses such as a young camembert.
Clos Floridène is owned by Denis and Florence Dubourdieu, both influential figures in the Bordeaux wine world. The estate, located in the Graves appellation, is known for its attention to detail and use of traditional wine-growing methods, combined with modern techniques. The chalky clay soils of the vineyards produce wines with exceptional minerality and structure. Often praised for their elegance, balance and excellent aging potential, Clos Floridène's white wines are a fine example of the top quality Graves Blanc has to offer.
