Clos Bellane Lusis Condri is a remarkable white wine from Clos Bellane, a renowned winery located in the Côtes du Rhône-Villages Valréas in the Rhône Valley of southern France. This wine embodies the elegance, complexity and unique terroir of the estate.
This wine is made from Viognier from old grape vines that grow on east-facing slopes on a calcareous soil. Stéphane Vedeau has thought for a long time how he could best express this special combination of old vines and the terroir in the wine. He found the answer to this by harvesting the grapes at a time when the ripe grapes still have sufficient crispy acids. The fermentation takes place slowly using natural yeasts, the maturation with extreme precision.
The result is a strikingly fresh, elegant Viognier. Perfumed in the nose with aromas of peach, melon and fresh blossom. Soft and filmy in taste with a rich body and a long aftertaste with refined acidity.
