Château Odilon Haut-Médoc has a deep garnet red color. Aromas of black fruit, licorice and a touch of orange blossom, followed by some roasted wood and vanilla. Balanced and creamy tannins.
The vineyard is located within the Listrac appellation. But because, unusually for Listrac, the dominant grape here is Merlot and the wine is therefore much smoother than most Listrac wines, it is marketed as Haut-Médoc.
Delicious red wine with, among other things, red meat dishes, lamb and ripe cheeses.
Château Odilon is a delicious red French Bordeaux Haut Médoc wine from Château Odilon owned by Baron Rothschild Lafite in France. This wine is made from 15 % Cabernet Sauvignon and 85 % Merlot grapes.
Recommended serving temperature between 16 ° C and 18 ° C.
Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite is a group of wine estates, based on the world-famous Château Lafite Rothschild, considered the best vineyard in Bordeaux even in the 18th century. Over the years, more wine estates were added, first in Bordeaux itself and then in Chile (Viña Los Vascos) and in the Corbières (Château d'Aussières). All these wine estates are managed with the same care and dedication and the elegant, refined style of the wines is always paramount.
This Château, formerly Peyre-Lebade, is named in honor of the famous painter Odilon Redon, who spent his childhood and most of his working life at this Château.
