Château de Beaucastel Chateauneuf-du-Pape Hommage à Jacques Perrin

Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape Hommage à Jacques Perrin is one of the most prestigious wines from the southern Rhône, produced by the famous Château de Beaucastel winery. This cuvée, a tribute to Jacques Perrin, is produced only in exceptional years and is a powerful blend, with Mourvèdre as the dominant grape, complemented by Grenache, Syrah and Counoise. The wine comes from old vines, some of which are over 90 years old, growing on the iconic galets roulés terroir, which ensures intense concentration and depth.

This wine has a deep purple-black colour and develops a complex nose of blackcurrant, plum, truffle, leather, and herbs such as thyme and rosemary. In the mouth, the wine is exceptionally powerful, with firm, ripe tannins and a rich texture, but with a surprising elegance and freshness. The wine has great ageing potential and evolves beautifully over the years, showing more and more layers of complexity.

Wine - Food pairing

Hommage à Jacques Perrin is perfect to combine with rich, robust dishes such as game (venison, pheasant), roasted lamb or a truffle risotto. Dishes with a strong flavour, such as stews or roast duck, also go perfectly with the intensity of this wine.

Château de Beaucastel

Château de Beaucastel is a prestigious wine estate located in the southern Rhône Valley of France, in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. The Château has a rich history dating back to the 16th century and is renowned for its remarkable high-quality wines.

Château de Beaucastel covers a substantial estate of approximately 130 hectares, much of which is planted with vines. The estate is characterised by its unique terroir, consisting of gravel and limestone soils covered with the famous "galets roulés", round pebbles that retain heat and contribute to the ripening of the grapes.

The estate is particularly renowned for its traditional approach to winemaking. Château de Beaucastel is one of the few producers in Châteauneuf-du-Pape to use all 13 permitted grape varieties of the region, including Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Counoise and several others. The Château is committed to preserving the traditional character of the region and uses biodynamic farming practices.
