Château Corbin Saint Émilion Grand Cru is a refined and powerful wine, consisting mainly of Merlot, supplemented with a small percentage of Cabernet Franc. This wine has a deep ruby red color and offers an expressive nose of red and black fruit, such as cherries, blackberries, and cassis, combined with notes of violets, vanilla, and subtle wood influences due to the maturation on oak. In the mouth, the wine is full and silky, with ripe tannins that provide a balanced structure and an elegant, long finish.
Serve wine at a temperature between 16°C and 18°C.
This Grand Cru wine goes perfectly with luxurious meat dishes such as roasted duck breast, leg of lamb or game dishes. The rich fruity notes and soft tannins also make a perfect match with mature cheeses, such as an old Cantal or a Roman Brie. Its structure and balance make this wine an ideal accompaniment to refined dishes with intense flavours.
Château Corbin is one of the oldest estates in Saint-Émilion, with a history dating back to the 15th century. The estate covers 13 hectares and is located in the north-west of the appellation, on an exceptional terroir of sandy and clay soils with iron-rich subsoils. Since it was taken over by the Cruse family in 1924, the château has been managed with care, with a strong focus on traditional wine-growing methods combined with modern techniques. Château Corbin is known for its elegant and long-lasting wines that perfectly reflect the unique character of Saint-Émilion.
