Carlo Santi Amarone Classico 1843

Carlo Santi Amarone Classico 1843 is an iconic Italian red wine made from dried grapes. The production process involves allowing the grapes to dry out after harvest, which results in concentrated sugars and flavors in the grapes.

The wine has a deep ruby red color and a complex aroma with notes of dried red fruit, plums, cherries, spices, and sometimes hints of chocolate and tobacco. The taste of Carlo Santi Amarone Classico 1843 is rich and lush, with a full body and intense flavors. The wine has a firm structure, with soft tannins and a long, persistent aftertaste.

After manual harvesting, the wines are dried through a natural drying process. After pressing, a long-term primary fermentation follows at a maximum temperature of 20 °C for a maximum of 50 days, with 100% indigenous yeasts in wooden barrels with an average capacity of 25hl. The wine then matures for the first 12 months in tonneaux, and then matures for a total of four years in large French oak barrels, followed by 1 year of bottle aging.

Carlo Santi Amarone Classico 1843 represents the tradition and quality of the Amarone wines from the Valpolicella region and pays tribute to the winery's long history. It is a wine appreciated by lovers of powerful, complex red wines.
