San Salvatore Calpazio is a white wine produced by Cantina San Salvatore, located in the Campania region of southern Italy. San Salvatore Calpazio is a specific wine from the San Salvatore range and represents a unique expression of the Greco grape variety.
San Salvatore Calpazio has a bright straw yellow color with golden nuances. The nose is powerful, strong hints of yellow fruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, notes of ginger and turmeric. Complex bouquet of wildflowers, gorse, acacia, lime. In the mouth dry, sour, juicy but at the same time full, enveloping, voluminous. Pleasant tactile perception, penetrating, fruity, expansive with great minerality. A long, balanced finish.
Mount Calpazio watches over the rows of Cannito in Paestum, vintage after vintage. Here at an altitude of between 150-210 meters above sea level, with a beautiful sunny south-west facing position, a special organic greco is born. After manual harvesting in small crates, the selected bunches undergo a process of cryomacracy for 6 hours. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at low temperature. Maturation for 8 months in steel tanks.
Delicious wine as an aperitif or in combination with (grilled) fish dishes.
