Bodega Bravo Escós Pas dels Caus

Bodega Bravo Escós Pas dels Caus is a red wine made from a blend of Garnacha Noir, Carignan, Syrah and Merlot grapes, sourced from vineyards in the village of Torroja del Priorat in Spain. The wine is a relatively new addition to the Bodega Bravo Escós range, with the first harvest in 2018.

The grapes for the Pas dels Caus are picked by hand at the optimal moment of ripeness. After destemming and gentle pressing, the must undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks, with a maceration period of 10 to 15 days to develop the color, tannins and structure of the wine. The wine then matures for 6 months in French oak barrels.

Bodega Bravo Escós Pas dels Caus has a deep garnet red color with purple hues. The nose shows aromas of black fruit, cassis, blackberries, leather, tobacco, vanilla and spices. The taste is powerful, but elegant and well balanced with ripe tannins, fresh acids, black fruit, plums, cherry, vanilla and a long, complex aftertaste.

Bodega Bravo Escós

Bodega Bravo Escós is located in the heart of Spain's Priorat wine region, in the village of Torroja del Priorat. This rugged and unique region is known for its steep slopes, slate soils and intense wines.

The winery was founded in 2006 by Luis Bravo, a passionate winemaker whose goal was to create modern, elegant wines while respecting the traditions of Priorat.

The philosophy of Bodega Bravo Escós is based on three pillars:

  • Respect for the terroir: The vineyards are worked naturally with minimal intervention to preserve the unique characteristics of the Priorat soil.
  • Quality over quantity: We work with low yields to produce grapes of the highest quality.
  • Innovation and tradition: Modern techniques are combined with traditional winemaking methods to create wines that are both complex and elegant.

The vineyards of Bodega Bravo Escós cover a total of 12 hectares and are planted with local grape varieties such as Garnacha, Cariñena and Syrah. The vines are on steep slopes with slate soils, which provide mineral richness and an intense flavor to the wines.
