Bennati Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Ca Brigiano

The Bennati Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Ca Brigiano is a powerful red wine from the Abruzzo region in Italy. The wine is produced by Casa Vinicola Bennati, a family business with a rich history in viticulture.

The Ca Brigiano is made from 100% Montepulciano grapes, sourced from vineyards in the hills surrounding Loreto Aprutino. The grapes are harvested by hand and then destemmed and crushed. The vinification takes place in modern steel tanks, where the wine macerates on the skins for 15-20 days. This ensures an intense color and powerful tannins. After maceration, the wine matures for at least 6 months in casks, partly in French oak barriques.

The Ca Brigiano has a deep ruby red color with purple reflections. The wine has a complex nose with aromas of cherries, plums, mocha, tobacco and spices. On the palate the wine is powerful and structured with intense flavors of dark fruit, pepper, vanilla and cocoa. The tannins are firm, but well integrated. The aftertaste is long and persistent.

The Ca Brigiano is an excellent Montepulciano d'Abruzzo with a powerful character and complex aromas. The wine is perfect for lovers of powerful red wines with a long aftertaste.

Casa Vinicola Bennati

Antonio Bennati was born in 1870 in Cazzano di Tramigna, just a few kilometers from Soave. "Toni Recioto", as he was called in honor of the raisin wine of that name, started at a young age producing and selling wine in the famous bottles in wicker baskets. He was followed by his son Annibale, who founded the winery Cantine Bennati in 1920.

Casa Vinicola Bennati has been a great winery for over 140 years and they tell the story of the wines of Valtramigna.
