Belpoggio Rosso di Montalcino is medium ruby red in color with a purple touch. Exuberant, spicy and fruity scent with impressions of blueberries, cherries and vanilla. Soft and spicy in taste with nuances of red fruit, followed by a long finish with notes of apricots and ripe berries.
The vinification is classic with 8-10 days of skin contact. The young wine then matures for 12 months in oak barrels of 30 and 40 hl and then in the bottle for at least another 3 months.
The Belpoggio vineyard is located at an altitude of 350m, with a soil of fossil lime.
Excellent wine with medium ripened cheese, grilled lamb, insalate mista, chicken dishes, veal, pasta with meat sauce, egg dishes or risotto.
Belpoggio Rosso di Montalcino is a delicious Italian red wine from the Tuscany region. This wine is made by winery Belpoggio from Sangiovese grapes.
Recommended serving temperature between 16°C and 18°C.
Belpoggio is located south of Montalcino and 800 meters from the St. Antimo Abbey of Castelnuovo dell'Abate, an estate of about 24 hectares, half of which is dedicated to red wine from Sangiovese and olive groves occupying the remaining part.
Overlooking the Val D'Orcia and with a magnificent view of Mount Amiata, the property's recently renovated farmhouse houses a brand new wine cellar equipped with state-of-the-art winemaking technology and a perfect aging cellar.
The vineyard height (is about 100 meters) and the Southwest positioning makes this wine unique while being completely environmentally friendly.
