Béatrice & Pascal Lambert Chinon Cuvée Marie is a crisp red fruity wine from the oldest vineyard of the Lambert family. 80 year old vines on the best vineyard yield a deep Chinon. Tension and juicy but with a round aftertaste. Hints of paprika, blackberry and freshness. The wine always ends with the soft and fruity aftertaste that is so typical of Pascal's wines.
The vineyard is on top of the hill. The soil is calcareous and gives the Cabernet Franc roundness and relatively soft acidity. The wines mature on average for 18 months in large wooden barrels. No filtration takes place and only a very small amount of sulphite is added in the years that this is necessary.
