Avgvstvs V is a wine that is only made in the best vintages. The magnum size of the bottle makes the evolution of the wine much slower. The maturation in the magnum bottle therefore contributes to beautiful tannins, good acidity and structure that is better than with conventional bottles.
In appearance it has an intense cherry color. In the nose, spicy aromas such as licorice and balsamic aromas. These are perfectly balanced with aromas of ripe black fruit and some roasted and smoked aromas. On the palate, this wine is intense and structured with a very long finish.
The grapes that make up the blend have been harvested on different dates. All varieties were aged separately in 300 liter French oak barrels for ± 17 months.
Wine - Food pairing
This wine goes well with grilled red meats, foie gras, stews or hard cheeses and goat cheeses.

Recommended serving temperature between 16°C and 18°C.

The name "Avgvstvs Forvm" is a combination of Latin and Catalan words. "Avgvstvs" refers to the Latin word "Augustus", which was an honorary title for Roman emperors. "Forvm" is the Catalan word for "forum" and represents a public square or meeting place.
The vineyards are located on stony and shallow soils, which ensures good drainage. The yield is low. The climate is Mediterranean, the sea is only a few kilometers away and thanks to the sea breeze it is not too hot here in summer and mild in winter.
