Aubert & Mathieu Terroir Corbières

Aubert & Mathieu Terroir Corbières has a deep red color and aromas of dark fruits such as blackberries and black currants, along with notes of spices and herbs. In the mouth it is full and rich, with aromas of ripe fruit, vanilla and oak. The tannins are firm but well integrated and velvety, giving the wine structure and depth. The finish is long and complex, with a hint of minerality.

Wine - Food pairing

This wine goes well with hearty meat dishes such as stew or roast lamb, but also with aged cheeses. It can be enjoyed now or kept in the cellar for several years to allow the flavors to develop further.

Aubert & Mathieu Terroir Corbières

Aubert & Mathieu Terroir Corbières is a delicious French organic Languedoc wine from Domaine Aubert & Mathieu from France. This red wine is made from Syrah, Grenache and Carignan grapes.

Recommended serving temperature between 16°C and 18°C.

Aubert & Mathieu

Aubert and Mathieu have been friends since their school days. They challenged themselves to create a range of wines according to their ideas. As natives of Languedoc Roussillon, they wanted to shake up the image of Languedoc wines by bringing a touch of originality and modernity to their cuvées. They were founded in 2018 and work environmentally conscious, transparent and sustainable. They make mostly organic cuvées.

The creative couple received, among other things, the Best Design prize for their labels in the prestigious magazine Harpers Wine & Spirits. But the wines themselves also stood out. For example, their Corbières “Marie-Antoinette” achieved a score of 18/20 in the magazine Terre de Vins and closer to home, their Kate Sauvignon Blanc was selected by KLM for the business class arrangement.

Corbières

The Corbières wine region is located in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France, specifically in the Aude department in the foothills of the Pyrenees. It is one of the largest wine-producing areas in the world, with a total vineyard area of more than 13,500 hectares.

The region has a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild winters. The vineyards are planted on rugged hillsides with a variety of soils including limestone, slate and sandstone.

Corbières wines are known for their full and fruity character, with aromas of red and dark fruit, spices and herbs. They are often described as having a rustic quality and are known for their ability to age well.
