Assobio Tinto is a robust red wine from the Douro Valley, produced by the renowned winery Quinta dos Murças. Known for its sustainable viticultural practices, this winery is located in one of Portugal's most prestigious wine regions. The name "Assobio" means "flute" and refers to the sound of the wind blowing through the steep slopes and terraces of the Douro, where the vineyards of Quinta dos Murças are located.

This wine is a blend of native Portuguese grape varieties, including Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo), and Touriga Franca. The grapes are hand-harvested from vineyards that benefit from a diverse terroir and microclimate, which contributes to the complexity and depth of the wine. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures to preserve the fruity aromas, followed by aging for several months in French and American oak barrels.

Assobio Tinto has a deep ruby red color. On the nose, the wine offers a rich aromatic profile of ripe red and black fruits, such as cherries, blackberries and plums, complemented by subtle floral notes of violets and a hint of spices and vanilla. On the palate the wine is full and well structured, with silky tannins and balanced acidity. The flavors of ripe fruit are beautifully integrated with notes of spices, oak and a hint of chocolate, leading to a long and pleasant aftertaste.
