Apostelhoeve Viognier

Apostelhoeve Viognier is a special wine from the Apostelhoeve, one of the oldest and most famous vineyards in the Netherlands, located on the sunny slopes of Maastricht. The Viognier is an aromatic white wine, made from the grape of the same name that originally comes from the Rhône Valley in France. At the Apostelhoeve, this grape produces an elegant and refined wine, which reflects the Dutch terroir well.

The wine has a light golden color and presents delicate aromas of apricot, peach and flowers such as jasmine and honeysuckle in the nose. In the mouth it has a full, silky texture, with ripe fruit tones of stone fruit and a subtle spiciness. The fresh acids provide a nice balance and a long, aromatic finish.

Wine - Food pairing

The Apostelhoeve Viognier is an excellent accompaniment to refined dishes such as grilled fish or shellfish. Due to its aromatic richness and full texture, it also goes well with Asian dishes, such as Thai curries or sushi, where the spiciness of the dish goes well with the fruity and floral notes of the wine. It is also a perfect match with soft cheeses such as goat cheese or a creamy brie.

Apostelhoeve Viognier

Apostelhoeve Viognier is a delicious white Dutch wine from the Apostelhoeve winery. This wine is made from Viognier grapes.

Recommended serving temperature between 8°C and 10°C.

Apostelhoeve

The Dutch wine tradition, which has its origins in Roman times, gradually made way for other forms of agricultural activity after the Middle Ages. Until 1970, the first vines returned to the southern slopes of the Jekerdal in Maastricht. Here, on one of Limburg's most beautiful spots on top of the Louwberg, the Netherlands' oldest and one of the largest wine estates in the Netherlands, De Apostelhoeve, reigns supreme.

This wine estate, now over 10 hectares in size, produces seven beautiful, dry white wines, namely: the Müller-thurgau, Auxerrois, Riesling, Pinot-gris, Pinot-gris barriques, Viognier and the Apostelhoeve Cuvée XII plus two sparkling wines: Apostelhoeve Riesling Brut and Apostelhoeve Cuvée XII Brut.
