Apostelhoeve Riesling is the pride of Wijndomein De Apostelhoeve, the oldest active wine estate in the Netherlands. Located on the Louwberg south of Maastricht, this winery benefits from ideal conditions for growing quality grapes. The Riesling grape, also called the king among the white grapes, flourishes here.

The Apostelhoeve Riesling is distinguished by its mineral character, thanks to the marl-rich soils of the Louwberg. In the scent you will recognize citrus fruits such as lemon and lime, supplemented with hints of granny smith apple and white flowers. After several years of maturation, delicate petroleum aromas sometimes develop, appreciated by true Riesling enthusiasts.

On the tongue, the Apostelhoeve Riesling is dry (trocken) with a lively acidity. The fruity notes are reflected in the taste, nicely balanced with the minerality. The wine is light to medium bodied and has a pleasantly long aftertaste.

This classic Riesling is versatile. Enjoy it as an aperitif or combine it with light dishes. Think of salads, fish dishes, poultry or Asian dishes. The wine also goes well with soft cheeses such as brie or camembert.
