Apostelhoeve Cuvee XII

Apostelhoeve Cuvée XII is the only blend that Wijndomein De Apostelhoeve produces. It is also their most commercial wine, recognizable by the orange label.

This wine is a unique composition of three grape varieties: Auxerrois, Müller-Thurgau and Pinot Gris. This combination provides a fruity and spicy experience, making the Cuvée XII a real everyone's friend.

Pour the Apostelhoeve Cuvée XII and look at the bright, light yellow color with a golden yellow sheen. This is a hint to the Pinot Gris grape in the blend.

The scent of the Cuvée XII is broad and exuberant. You recognize aromas of exotic fruit such as peach, apricot, grapefruit and lychee. In addition, there are hints of ripe pear and blossom, complemented by a subtle minerality. On the tongue the Cuvée XII is dry (trocken) and has a medium body. The fruity notes from the scent are reflected in the taste, beautifully blended thanks to the combination of the three grapes. The wine has a lively acidity that provides a pleasant freshness. The aftertaste is elegant with a subtle spiciness.

Wine - Food pairing

This blend is extremely versatile due to its accessible nature. Enjoy it as an aperitif on a terrace, or combine it with various dishes. Think of salads, fish dishes, poultry or Asian dishes. The Cuvée XII is also delicious with a cheese board with mild cheeses.

Apostelhoeve

The Dutch wine tradition, which originated in Roman times, gradually made way for other forms of agricultural activity after the Middle Ages. Until 1970 when the first vines returned to the southern slopes of the Jeker valley in Maastricht. Here, on one of Limburg's most beautiful spots on top of the Louwberg, the Netherlands' oldest and one of the largest wine estates in the Netherlands, De Apostelhoeve, is enthroned.

This wine estate, now over 10 hectares in size, produces six beautiful, dry white wines, namely: the Müller-thurgau, Auxerrois, Riesling, Pinot-gris, Pinot-gris barriques and the Apostelhoeve Cuvée XII plus two sparkling wines: Apostelhoeve Riesling Brut and Apostelhoeve Cuvée XII Brut.
