Alvi's Drift Fusion Reserve is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinotage, Shiraz and Petit Verdot grapes, with the Cabernet Sauvignon playing the leading role. The Pinotage has a share of 30%. The classic Cape Blend is full of scents and flavors of ripe blackberry, mulberry and plum. Notes of vanilla and cashew nuts are beautifully integrated through the aging in wooden barrels.
After fermentation, the wine matures for 22 months in both French and American oak barrels, one third of which are new. The wine has a storage potential of 5 to 8 years.
