Altolandon Rayuelo a Spanish red wine has a deep red garnet color. Aromas of black fruit, such as berries and blackberries combined with spices. In the mouth the wine is full, powerful and complex. Dark fruit is combined with silky tannins, licorice, pepper and oak tones.
After the fruit has been picked, it goes to the modern equipped winemaking room. No industrial yeasts are used, but only those naturally occurring on the grape. The peels remain in contact with the juice for an average of 2 to 3 weeks, after which a light pressing follows. After this, the young wine goes to the barrel cellar for further maturation in barriques. Approximately 25% of these barrels are replaced annually. All wines undergo malolactic fermentation in the barrel. Rayuelo ages in barriques for 8 months. After the wine has been bottled, it rests for at least 8 months before the wine is released on the market.
Recommended with beef, spicy oriental meat dishes, game, racks of lamb and stew.
Altolandon Rayuelo is a delicious Spanish red wine from the Manchuela region in Spain. This wine is made from Bobal grapes.

Bodegas Altolandon is located in Landete, Cuenca between three provinces: Valencia, Cuenca and Teruel, at an altitude of 1100 meters measured from the highest point. The estate covers a total of 120 hectares and in the middle of it is the winery. Altolandon's philosophy is to make quality wines from quality grapes. The driven Rosalia Molina is the driving force behind Altolandon.
Everything that has to do with the vineyard is dressed with the greatest care. The wine comes from the grape, but the height where they grow and the terroir it comes from are essential to the end result. The climatic conditions: high altitude and many hours of sunshine, ensure that a slow and balanced ripening occurs during the last months of the grape's development. The wines from these grapes offer a variety of colour, depth and breadth of flavors and great complexity on the palate. Due to the higher acidity and the proportion of the tannins present, they are very suitable for aging in barrel. Irreptible matures for 4 months in wood and the Rayuelo for 8 months.
