Albertus Viljoen Chardonnay
Albertus Viljoen Chardonnay, a South African white wine from Worcester, is golden yellow in color. Aromas of lime, honey melon, vanilla, warm breadcrumbs and a hint of roasted hazelnuts. In the mouth, ripe fruit is followed by refreshing acidity. Albertus Viljoen Chardonnay has a pleasant oiliness.
Only the best grapes are used for the Albertus Viljoen wines. The Chardonnay grapes of this wine come from old vines that are planted on poor limestone soils. After manual harvesting in the early morning, the grapes are vinified per plot. The bunches are pressed in their entirety and the juice is fermented in wooden barrels with wild yeast strains. The wines are then blended in different barrels from different plots.
